Background

Joshua FM 92.0 is an undertaking in Katakwi District Eastern Uganda from Kide communications Limited is a company with a solid knowledge base.

The company is a fully blown broadcasting organization offering a wide range of services including Radio Broadcasting Services among others.

Thus, JOSHUA-FM 92.0 is a privately-owned community based commercial Radio station which started operating in September 2007.The Station drives out a well-built, clear signal backed by a 1KW transmitter casting in excess of 16 districts in Eastern Uganda, some of these include, Katakwi Moroto, Sironko, Bukwa, Kapuchorwa, Kumi, Soroti, Amuria, Ngora, Leptong, Pader, Bukedea, Serere, Amudat, Napark, Kaberamaido, Abim and some parts of Northern Uganda.

The station is positioned as a contemporary hit radio station programmed on the pillars of good programming which cuts across the family, youth women and men.

To remain relevant to our target listener group, the station has an in-house research team that undertakes continuous research and advises on the specific needs of our target audience. 

Through continuous investment, the station has mast at Abella Hill in Abella Rock Katakwi District Covering North Eastern Uganda and Norther Uganda. 

This has enhanced our reach and currently our signal covers all the major commercial centres in the Region – the areas covered by our signal account for up to two quarters of the country; the biggest FM radio station in the North Eastern. We broadcast on 92.0 MHz in Katakwi and North Eastern Uganda.

The station endeavours to maintain visible presence in the community through promotions and involvement in community activities.

We are also accessible in other programming to those who fall in the 14 years and below age group.

Our programming content is designed to appeal to the core target group i.e. 14 – 65 years old.
